Career and Technical Education (CTE) at York International!

York International high school students in Mr. Pearson's Principles of Engineering class designed balloon crafts with the goal of landing the slowest in a 2x2ft landing. Each group of students received the same materials – two balloons, two plates, a straw, and an aluminum cup. After building their initial designs, students put their designs to the test by dropping their crafts from a 10-foot height to find out which design had the slowest time. The winning group project won with a time of 1.86 seconds!
