Looking for a school where curiosity, creativity, and engineering come together? York International School is a K–12 community where students learn by doing, and grow into confident problem solvers.

York’s Engineering and Technology Career and Technical Education pathway gives middle and high school students hands-on experience with robotics, drone technology, and real-world engineering challenges. Through project-based learning, students explore how things work, build technical skills, and turn imagination into innovation in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) at York International!

York International high school students in Mr. Pearson's Principles of Engineering class designed balloon crafts with the goal of landing the slowest in a 2x2ft landing. Each group of students received the same materials – two balloons, two plates, a straw, and an aluminum cup. After building their initial designs, students put their designs to the test by dropping their crafts from a 10-foot height to find out which design had the slowest time. The winning group project won with a time of 1.86 seconds!
