Hey everyone! My name is Mr. Buck, and I teach middle school social studies. I grew up in Golden, Colorado, and got my B.A. in History from CU Boulder. After college, I spent 2 years living abroad in Strasbourg, France, before moving back home in 2019. I love all things history and geography, and outside of school, I enjoy running, bouldering, reading, and playing video games.

Mrs. Lisman - Math Teacher
I have been teaching Middle School for 19 years and I love it! Middle school students are the best! Fun fact: I was a terrible math student. I even had a teacher tell me I was stupid at math so I really struggled with it until I was almost done with college. I know how to get you unstuck in math because I've probably been frustrated by the same math topics as you.
I'm so excited to be your math teacher this year! I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree from New Mexico State University both in education.
Random info about me: The biggest fish I've ever caught was by accident! I LOVE baking and I’m always on the quest for bread perfection. I LOVE bread and would die without cookies. Gardening is something that gives me a lot of joy. I love growing my own vegetables and berries. It's a great feeling to work for something delicious. I love music and usually play music during class.

Mrs. Brehmer - Fine Arts Teacher
My name is Mrs. Brehmer and I am the K-8 Art teacher. I am married and have two grown sons and two granddaughters. I was a regular classroom teacher for many years before I became an art teacher, and I can definitely say that art is my favorite thing to teach! I love living in Colorado near the mountains where I can enjoy hiking with my dog and spending time in nature. I also love to read, create art in my home studio, and spend time with my family.

Mr. Lewis - Music Teacher
Hello, and welcome to York music! My name is Mr. Lewis, and I am the K-5 and 7-8 music instructor. This year is my 11th year at York, and my 14th year overall. I received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010, and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instructional Design from American College of Education in 2018. I absolutely love the culture and community at York - it really feels like a family!
I live in Thornton with my wife, our daughter, two dogs, and a cat! In my free time, I love golfing, spending time with friends and family, and traveling as much as possible.
I am so excited to dive into music with all of my amazing students this year!
