Parent Involvement
York International Parent Involvement
Parents are encouraged to get involved in the York International community!
Classroom Volunteering
- Parents of elementary students are encouraged to contact their child's classroom teacher to find out how to come into the classroom to volunteer.
Field Trips
- An important part of an International Baccalaureate education involves real-world experiences. All York teachers are encouraged to organize field trips for their students, and parents are frequently called upon to act as additional chaperones. If you are interested in helping with this, please contact the York front office and ask to be placed on our list of parent volunteers.
School Advisory Accountability Committee (SAAC)
- SAAC is a team of York parents and community members that meet four times per year with the school director to provide on school initiatives, achievement and growth data, culture and climate, and the parent perspective and experience at York International. We'd love to have your voice on this committee! If you are interested, please call the York front office.
